In a study about the effectiveness of avocado in reducing LDL cholesterol, 45 obese people participated in the test. The group was consist of men and women, 21 to 70 years old. They were separated in three groups. Each group eats a different cholesterol lowering diet.
The first group was a low-fat diet of around 24%, the second group was a moderate-fat diet of around 34% but without avocado and the third group consumed a moderate fat diet of around 34% including avocado.
